TianYa.cn, China’s pre-eminent and largest forum website based in Haikou with over 30 million registered users in China and Canyaa Science & Technology, owner and operator of the website Canyaa.com went public today with the news of a wide-ranging cooperation agreement signed between their respective CEO’s Xing Ming and David Hao (seen here shaking hands after the signing ceremony in Sanya, Hainan) with a view to work together in various joint marketing and technological aspects.

Says David Hao: ”We are very pleased to work together with TianYa, China’s largest forum website. We have identified numerous areas where we can cooperate with one another with a view to maximise the obvious synergies between our 2 internet businesses”.

Hao listed the plan to relocate Canyaa’s small technical team to Haikou where TuanYa has its headquarters :’ This will make for “shorter ways” when implementing the agreement in the months to come”, he says. He also referred to a joint marketing gig in the coming weeks in 5 major cities around China involving “melting ice-blocks”. However, he refused to disclose any more details except to say:” It will be a “first” for China and an eye-opener as it has never been done before in China”.

Hao did let on that the collaboration between the 2 companies will also include the opportunity for existing TianYa users to use Canyaa Coins earned on Canyaa’s website and use them to play games and purchase products on TianYa’s website. “This will lead to monetizing potentially millions of “free gamers” on TianYa’s website”

“We bring the ads, TianYa will bring the eye-balls”, is what Hao promptly said when we asked him to summ up the collaboration in a single sentence.

Xing Ming also mentioned that besides the collaboration with Canyaa on their respective internet businesses, he has advanced plans to bring Chinese and international information technology companies to his soon-to-be-built high-tech park planned for Sanya. “We believe that the Canyaa team inside and outside China can help us in this effort”, he said.
